Operating as green certified, we are committed to providing efficient eco-friendly travel and are constantly looking for ways to reduce our carbon footprint.

As a matter of fact, in just one year spent transporting our customers to their destinations, we’re taking 5 million cars off the road that would otherwise be causing traffic.

Consider this: if you arranged those cars back to back, you could fit them around the entire circumference of the Earth one and a half times!

Greener travel

• Compared to other vehicles, buses emit the least carbon dioxide per mile and are seven times more energy and fuel-efficient than single-occupancy automobiles.
• Our buses are as much as three times more efficient in reducing carbon dioxide output than the commuter rail, and six times more efficient than transit buses. 

Although travelling by bus is one of the greenest ways to travel, we still strive to do more.

As a leader in sustainable bus travel efforts, we’re continually developing and looking for new ways to limit our environmental impact.

This is why all Megabus double-decker buses are appropriately equipped with our GreenRoad system.

Providing real-time feedback to drivers with prompts on their driving style, speed, braking, and acceleration, our GreenRoad system successfully reduces fuel consumption and cuts the risk of accidents.
